A.Dear Client,
In your situation, if your mother sold the plot allotted to your deceased father without obtaining the necessary permission from the court, it could potentially raise issues regarding the validity of the sale.

To determine whether you can claim ownership of the plot, several factors need to be considered, including:

1. Relevant Laws: The specific laws and regulations governing the sale of property allotted by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) at the time of the sale need to be examined. This includes any restrictions or requirements regarding the sale and transfer of property.

2. Legal Heirs and Succession: As the son of the deceased owner, you may have a claim to the property based on inheritance. However, the specific rules of succession, which differ based on personal laws and specific circumstances, would need to be considered.

3. Time Limitations: There may be time limitations for challenging the sale or asserting ownership rights. The applicable limitation period will depend on various factors such as local laws and the specific circumstances of your case.

Considering the complex nature of property laws and the need to review specific documents, it is strongly recommended to consult with a lawyer who specializes in property law. They will be able to provide personalized guidance based on the specific details of your case, analyze the applicable laws, and advise you on the best course of action to assert any potential ownership claims.
Thank you.
