A.Dear Client,
In the event of the death of the original member, the heirs have to apply within 6 months of the death for the share transfer to the nominee along with the issuance of a new share certificate of society. According to the society share certificate rules, in the case of a transfer, the share certificates should be issued to the transferee within a period of one month of receipt of the instrument of transfer failing which you may serve a legal notice to the Society and bring the matter to the notice of Registrar or Deputy Registrar of the Cooperative Societies for redressal of your grievance.

A.Dear Client,

Check the society's by-laws or rules and regulations. They should specify the timeline and procedures for updating share certificates after a transfer. Reach out to the society office manager or secretary to inquire about the progress and expected timeline for updating the share certificate. Maintain written communication for records. If the society is taking longer than specified in their by-laws, send a formal written request for an expedited process. Mention the specific by-law or regulation that outlines the time frame for updating share certificates. If all else fails, you can contact the local Registrar of Cooperative Societies. They have the authority to intervene and enforce the cooperative society laws, ensuring that the society complies with its by-laws and legal obligations.

A.Dear Sir,
You must be in good books with the Society people otherwise they may start torturing you. Anyhow you are staying physically and if giving share certificate is delayed nothing will happen. Let them issue leisurely.
