Hi
15 years back my neighbor were build a road Faced my home, at the time of making my father where paid to this neighbor equal share of all the expenses of this road. But land of road was registered neighbor ‘s wife’s name. That time my father where asked them a contract or agreement to prove our share,but that’s time delayed agreement because of technical issue and some physical tiredness of his wife. Last 15 more years we and my other three more neighbors also using this road like public. and agreement was not completed.still he says more money for completing agreement. Legally Eny priority to prove our share? What should I do?

Privately owned land cannot change its status unless acquired by the government for public use. Even if a road is constructed on private land for mutual convenience, it cannot be considered a public road unless officially acquired. A.Dear Client,
Private land cannot change its character unless the same is acquired for public purpose by the Government. A road made on private land on mutual understanding and for common convenience cannot be claimed as a public road as a matter of right even based on an agreement that does not confer any ownership right to the user of that road which is registered in the name of an individual. So, legally you cannot prove your claim even through litigation.
