Desertion by Husband

Hi, I got married to a guy about 7 years ago and after living with me for 1.5 years together my husband abandonedme because I wasnt keeping well. From last 5 years we had no contact no communication nothing. I recently contacted him on facebook to end this marriage but he didnt respond then my family member contacted his parents because we dont have his phone or any other contact detail.His mother said he will ask his son to contact us but its been over 10 days, there has no response from them. What can we do now.

A.Please File case for Divorce , Maintenance or Restitution Of Conjugal Right on Ground of Desertation in concerned Court of Law .

A.Desertion is a valid ground for divorce. Divorce can be filed after a period of two years of desertion. Since your husband has deserted you for 5 years, you can go ahead anf file for divorce. However you should be able to prove that you are separated and that your husband had the intention to desert you.
