Can we send legal notice reg 'No future engagements will be done by both parties' reg marriage from both sides after future engagements were called off on phone from our side? Please suggest as it is

A. Engagement does not bind either of the parties to marry. Marriage can be cancelled without assigning any reason even after engagement. If any gifts were mutually exchanged they should be returned to avoid any future dispute for claim of financial losses.
