Collector's fee pending on flat, can I still put it on rent?
I bought a flat in Mumbai on collectors land in 2014 from a previous owner but did not pay the collectors fees thinking will pay later. It's been 7 yrs now but I still haven't paid the collectors fees

A. Dear Sir,
You are in possession of the said property as such you can rent it out. Instead you can also lease it out for few years and out of the amount received you can pay the fee which is pending and get it registered in your name.

First get sale deed in your name and become absolute owner and sell portion of the said land to other prospective buyers. Try to get katha changed in your name and taxes are paid in your name then only you can sell the property in pieces.

Getting agreement is of no use because it gives you only cause of action to file a civil suit which goes for years together. Better have fresh undated cheques without amount therein thus you can put cheque bounce case and easily recover.
