A. Reply to the legal notice and ask them to correct their mistake or else you can take the benefit of this mistake of theirs when either they move the case in DRT or you move in any forum against them

A. Hi,
As per your narration, there might have been a gross deficiency by the bank with regards to the services they offer. You can directly approach the ombudsman and register a complaint there or you have the additional option of filing a complaint against the bank before the consumer forum.

You can file a writ of mandamus before the High Court by directly approaching it under Article 226 of the Constitution since there is no intelligible differentia in denying you the scheme despite the fact that you are eligible.
