I have been tortured physically and mentally.. even my husband use to hit me physically. He was always annoyed and behaved very rudely with me. I don’t have mother in law so my sasur and my dewrani was behind this.. I even have some evidences like in which my devrani is saying to my sasur to not let me stay alone or else I can go to the police.. they always influence my husband and my husband used to misbehave with me. I have two child as well one being 5 month son and other 2.5 years daughter. I even tried committing suicide.. what are the things I can do to protect myself.. can I take legal actions against my sasur n devrani? my devrani does not stays with us but my sasur stays with me. What can I do to keep my child with me always??
You can take multiple actions against multiple persons which is allowed under various enactments. You will get free legal aid and also can get interim maintenance immediately.

it is good that you have some evidence.
You will only have both children custody.
second you can lodge complaint of domestic violance on sasur and dewrani and ask for restraining/protection order.
you can ask for maintenance for yourself and children.
Hope this clarifies,

You can approach the police and file a complaint against them under S.498-A of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with cruelty by husband's family. Protection can also be found in the Protection Against Domestic Violence Act.
If you have suffered from domestic violence, most Courts would inherently side with you if you institute divorce proceedings and want sole custody of your children.
