Require family tree from the owner

there are 4 share holders for the apartment and my corresponding flat has one share holder along with his wife. And this couple is selling the flat to me. I would like to know whether we need to get the family tree of them.

A.Yes you have to get family tree .
And please ask about deed of declaration and there is anything about partition among them.

A.so there are only 4 flats or more ?
did you verified partnership/share agreement ? First it is required.
Flat ownership is last which needs family tree.
