My grandmother sold my grandfather property and purchased another property on her name did i have right in that purchased property.

A.you can claim ONLY till it can be traced back to ancestral property.

A.First in India succession is determined by the religion of the person. Presuming you are a hindu belonging to the mitakshara school ( if you are north Indian) the following will apply:
In case of self acquired property of your grandmother :
if she makes a will then the transfer will happen according to the will
if she dies interstate and if she predecease her husband then her property will be divided equally between her childrens and her husband each getting one share each.
As a grandchild you will only have your right devolving on you from the share of your parent (father if paternal grandmother).
The matter is complicated for a common man to understand at one go and therefore it is suggested you hire a lawyer to whom you have to explain not only your family tree your grandmother onwards but also how the property was determined at various stages in order to provide you with the most specific answer about your share in the property.

A.You will have the right which will flow through your parent ( child to your grandmother). If they acquired any right then it will pass on to you. You may also have the right if that property was not alienated by your grand mother and you are the only legal heir.

If the property was ancestral, then she cannot sell of the property without the consent of the other successors, if she sold the self-acquired property of your grandfather, then she can deal with the property as her wish. A grandchild does not have any legal right on his grandparents property. The property would be divided equally between her children.
