I have taken divorce in the kalyan court with proper court Affidavit and alimony (in DD) given to my wife in front of court magistrate and our both parties lawyer. Now after cooling period of 1 year the date has came , if she dont come or planning to ask for more money can she does that. If she is not ready to give divorce then what about the money (alimony) given to her. How can I get final cetificate in such situation, will any sort of jail for cruelty can happen to me. Kindly help.

A.Hi,
Your wife can keep alimony without attesting to the divorce. Also as per your narration, the divorce might not be finalised yet. I suggest you take your lawyer's advice on the matter and tread carefully.

A.Your query is vague. If you have already taken divorce from court then why yo visit again? When alimony is already decided and accordingly paid then why meeting after one year? How and why question of her readiness for divorce arise after one year when divorce us already given by court?
