Stamp duty on gifted share of an undivided property Stamp duty on gifted share of an undivided property

My 4 uncles bought 10 kathas of land in the year of 2001. They are the joint owners of that undivided land. Now they want to gift me an equal share in that undivided property through a gift deed. Now my question is whether the stamp duty will be charged on the the entire 10 kathas of land or only on 2kathas (as my share will be just 10/5= 2 kathas)?

A.Stamp duty will be charged on the portion/area of the property which is being gifted out of the total property which will be required to be calculated accordingly. Thank you.

A.Hello
The share you are get through gift deed is only 2kathas so the stamp duty will be applicable on that portion of land only, which is transferring.
Thanks

A.Stamp duty will be paid on the the share which is being transferred to you. If it is 2 kathas then stamp duty will be levied on 2 kathas only.
