My bike was not insured. My friend took it the morning. He said he had a emergency. He came to me in the evening saying that the bike is stolen. Bike was 7 yr old and was of 80k Rs. Can i sue him and get back 80k or will i get nothing?

A.It all depends on how you are preparing the case and arguing in the court of law. The court always pays attention to the petition and the prayer made to it. If there is a valid ground in the petition and a cogent and reasonable prayer which can be fulfilled then you can get what you are asking for. A.Hi,
Since you lent your bike to your friend, therefore it was on his part to be mindful of your bike as he would take care of his own and exercise due diligence. You can sue him for negligence before the civil judge's court and claim compensatory damages from him.

A.Hi,
You can certainly give police complaint against your friend for the said loss or theft, if the vehicle is yours. Such a complaint can be registered irrespective of whether or not it is up to date with insurance.
