Wrong Plot Number. Unable to get mutation done Wrong Plot Number. Unable to get mutation done

Hi
I had purchased a land in 2015 with Plot No. 145 and got a sale deed done. However when I went for mutation in 2020, I found out that the plot number is wrong. The plot number in jamabandi is showing 144. Rest all details match.

Hence the mutation couldn't be done for the same reason.

I tried to find the seller but he was untraceable and his address details are nowhere to be found.

So what can be done now for the proper ownership of land? What can be done about the plot number?

A.Dear Sir,
You may approach Higher Revenue Officers or concerned officers and request for change. If vendor is available then get registered Rectification deed. If not worked out then approach civil court as boundaries always prevail over plot numbers.

A.Hi,
You can modify the plot number with an affidavit and verification before a learned authority to confirm that the plots are identical, but this will necessitate the seller's presence. Please attempt to track out the seller's location.
Thank you very much. Please give the answer a rating.

A.Hi,
You can change the plot number through an affidavit, and verification before a learned authority to ensure that the plot is the same, but it would require the presence of the seller. Kindly try to find out the whereabouts of the seller.
