It always depends upon the rules framed by your Society if any. If it is a independent house you can install it subject to no disturbance to the privacy of neighbors. You may seek permission from the Society and install it.

Yes, a CCVT can be installed outside the front door as long as it does not cover the flat's private spaces. However, to guarantee that no one's right to privacy is violated, please notify everyone and check if anybody objects.
