Delay in getting possession of the land Delay in getting possession of the land

I bought a property of area 100 yards in Radha vihar, Mukundpur, Azadpur, New delhi 110042 from a local property dealer on 23 feb 2018(money paid in cash over a period of 1 year). Now its been 3 years, still the possesion of the land is not given to us. Corona lockdown and all is causing further delay. Property dealer is not picking up calls now, I want to file a case, Please tell me the best way I can recover my money back or the land back or a replacement land.

A.Hi,
The buyer can file a complaint about ‘deficiency in service' as defined under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 against the builder. The buyer can also approach the tribunals under the RERA Act if an unnecessary delay in possession is observed.

A.Hi,
Issue the property dealer a legal notice first, demanding immediate possession of the property. If the issue is not resolved then file a consumer case against the property dealer in the consumer forum in order to get the possession of the land, along with compensation and damages.

A.Send him a legal notice and if he is not delivering within the prescribed time mentioned in the legal notice then file a case in consumer court in Delhi. Consult a Consumer lawyer in Delhi and discuss your case and then move on to file the petition.
