Is Voter ID card mandatory for property registration in kolkata?

Hi , I am planning to buy a resale property in Kolkata, but the seller is not having Voter ID card , but having Adhaar card, PAN card. Is the Voter ID card mandatory during time of registration?

For property registration, any government-issued identification card can be used; a voter card is not required. Most of the time, the Aadhar card does half the work in registrations or where formal work is required to be done.

Any government-authorized identity card can be used for the registration of property, the presence of a voter card is not mandatory. Aadhar card does half the work most of the time and there is no need for any other card.

A.Voter Card is not mandatory for property registration in Kolkata. It is necessary to specify in the Sale Deed the Aadhaar Card No. and PAN No. of both the Seller and the Buyer. So if the Seller is lacking Voter Card then that doesn't create any problem if the Seller has Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.

A.No voter Id is not mandatory during the registration but PAN is mandatory and Aadhar is required as Identity Proof. Voter ID can also be used as identity proof if you have it but not having it does not bar you from getting the registration done.
