police verification failed for passport

i lost my passport and i go to my area police station. but police no report file . so i request letter sp office after . police report file. and after one certificate issue police . after i apply dulicate passport .
after police verification failed for passport.
help me what next step

then you may apply for re-verification of your passport.
you may go to the concerned police station from where your passport verification is possessing and have a conversation regarding the same.

First you'll have to find out the reason why your police verification for passport has failed. Regarding that you could contact in the police station where you applied for varification and after knowing the reason again apply for police varification.

It would be advised to first find out why your police verification has failed and on what basis. Once you have found the problem you could file a request for re varification for passport.

We need know why the verification failed, did it fail because of the documents or any query related to that. Once such a verification fails, you need to apply for the same once again.
Would suggest you to go to the passport office speak to the concerned department explain the issue. Then speak to the police officer and narrate the entire thing.
Then they shall fix up a date for another verification. If your documents and applications are well satisfactory then there is no chance for such failure.
