A.MCD- mutual consent divorce where the parties agree that for it and is is faster than the contested one. Contested divorce is one files a divorce petition and other fights it out for not allowing to have the divorce. Obviously the MCD is a faster way than the contested.

A.MCD is the fastest process to get the divorce through joint petition after minimum one year of continuous separation period and requires to be filed before the District Judge/ ADJ under whose jurisdiction either the bride or the groom resides or within whose jurisdiction marriage registration took place . Usually after six months and within 18 months therefrom the death of evidence will be fixed and if both parties depose in favour of divorce, then decree of divorce will be given in that Matrimonial Suit. If the separation period is prolonged then the Court may allow the cut off of that cooling off period of six months and will grant divorce on earlier dates.
