How powerful is a houseowners committee? How powerful is a houseowners committee?

Hello. The maintenance committee (unregistered) for my apartment is threatening to discontinue the elevator in the building to the floor I live in. This is because they are demanding more money, above and beyond the normal maintenace charges (which I regularly pay) with some made-up excuses. They have scared every other flatowner into paying this, because they're mostly old or lonely people who don't want any trouble. I wanted to sell off my flat and go away, but they are using the security guard to block prospective buyers and agents too. What can I do?

A.dear client kindly write a letter to the secretary and chairman of the association of your apartment and raise the concern before them that some guests are not being allowed to meet to you without any request being made from your side. After raising your concern you have to await their response.

A.See if the bye-laws or GM approved the enhanced charges. If not you can file a civil suit against the Committee for a permanent injunction.
