Can my Grandmother get share in the properties of her deceased husband ? Can my Grandmother get share in the properties of her deceased husband ?

My grandfather (mother's father), when he was alive, gifted his property to his four daughters equally. Now, as soon as he expired, they are selling it & sharing the money among themselves, without giving a penny to my grandmother. Could you please state if there is any legal way through which she can get a part of that money?

Please note that my grandmother will never say a word against her sons-in-law, even if I proceed legally against them.

A.Dear Client,

If he left a will stating the division of the property among his daughters then your your grandmother cannot ask for her share in the property. If he’d died intestate then she has equal right over the property as their children.
