Divorce - husband has sent me legal notice

My husband has sent me legal notice saying he want to rejoin with me and child keeping wrong allegations on me. I came out of my martial house due to mental disturbance of my husband and family. I started working because my husband failed to take responsibility and he dint maintain me and my child after marriage.
Now after sending reply notice to husband. Can I fail for maintaince case can I claim maintaince even though if I work.
If you have received a legal notice then you must reply to that as a norm. And yes you can file for maintenance even if you are working when your earnings are not sufficient to take care of you and your child.

Under domestic violence Act, you can take back all the things given to him during the marriage and can also seek compensation from the court for any mental or physical cruelty suffered.

Thank You Very Much Sir. He and his family mentally disturbed me with his drinking,smoking and abusive words. So I went into postpartum depression by him and took treatment for it still it's going and I am individually taking care of baby Expenses also. Can he able to claim that I am taking treatment for depression so he cannot give me a compensation.
