A.You can file a civil suit against the said lender, praying for requisite relief and for directing the said firm to stop its illegal activities.

It is brought to your notice that there is a principle known as “Principle of Damdupat” which restrains individuals and money lenders from recovering by way of interest which is more than double the amount lent . You can take the benefit of this principle and win your case. Many other acts and contracts which may be available and applicable in your case shall and can be utilised when you contact a competent lawyer to handle your case.you can also pray for the passing of an order restraining the said firm from dealing in the said business of money lending.

You can also correspond and make a complaint against the activities of the said firm before the RBI, Ministry of Finance, before the banking ombudsman etc to which your lawyer who sees your case advises.

Or you can go to a police station having jurisdiction over the place where the borrower lives and lodge a complaint addressing the Officer-in-Charge of the Police station.
