A.dear client file a suit on 'civil death' in your District Court. When that case resolves then only your mother-in-law would be eligible for the inherited property.

A.Hello,
If your father-in-law did not come come back for once then it is possible to transfer the property in your mother-in-law's name. But there are some certain procedure for that. first, file a suit on 'civil death' in your District Court. When that case resolves then only your mother-in-law would be eligible for the inherited property.

A.your Question is not clear,However your father-in-law left or abandoned or not traceable more than 7 years and no where about of him then a police complaint should have made under missing, abandoned and no where about of him.Even after doing all the legal requirement you should legally acquire the property in favour of mother-in-law.It is better to consult Civil property Lawyer for further needful.
