I am married since 1 year6months and I have a 6month old child. My husband and his family has been torturing and mentally harassing me since two three weeks after my marriage because my mother didn't give him car. He is a severe alcoholic. Two of his brothers are already divorced. They do not have any house of their own. Him/or his family didn't took care of me when I was pregnant Or my son after delivery. I am a single child who lost my brother and father a few years ago. They are mentally torturing me. He has beaten me three times when I was pregnant. Thought my pregnancy he mentally harassed me for money and car and speaking Ill of my mother. I am afraid to go with him as he is a chronic alcoholic. His brothera have illegal business. He has lot of financial liability .How to deal with the case . I want to protect my son and mother too from this toxic family.

It is advisable to file an FIR immediately in the nearest police station regarding the abuse. A case can be filed under the PWDVA, 2005 for different types of compensation as well. Contact an advocate and decide for further action.
