A.Dear Client,
A Society registered under the respective State Cooperative Society Act and governed by the Byelaws of the Society. If the Byelaws of the Society say that a member having a criminal record shall be ceased from holding any position in the Governing Body or Executive Committee, then the said member cannot be a member of the Redevelopment Committee.

Generally having a crime record prohibits a member from continuing in office. However, this may be subjective to state laws regarding cooperative society. For instance,
The Maharashtra Government has amended a provision in the Maharashtra state cooperative societies act to remove the restriction that prohibits people with criminal records from holding office
