Divorce - I am a Christian woman Divorce - I am a Christian woman

I am a Christian woman, who's married for almost 14years now. I left my job in a pvt. company after marriage, at the insistence of my husband. He has a Central job. And although we never had a court marriage,I am officially shown as his wife in all office documented paper works. Also,I do have a certificate from the Church recognizing our marriage. My question is-considering m just a housewife who is financially dependent on him, what is likely to happen if I file for a divorce?? What are my chances of keeping my kids with me who are 11+ & 7+ respectively??Even though m from NE, due to my husband's job, we are settled somewhere else in the country. In that case, where would be the best option for me to file the divorce?? Hope you can help!

A.Dear client,
Christian marriage in India can be dissolved under the Indian Divorce Act of 1869 (under Section X) under three conditions: By Section X A (as amended in 2001) both parties can file for a divorce by mutual consent.
