A. Hi,
While you can claim compensation, the easiest thing to do is to approach the bank and get your issue resolved. Any compensation awarded will be a token amount as there is no real harm being caused to you, it is more of an inconvenience.

A. Yes, you can file both cases at the same time, but in their respective Courts.
A civil suit for money recovery under Order IV of the CPC must be filed within 3 years of the incident. An FIR can be lodged at the local police station under S.420 of the IPC, which deals with cheating and fraud.

If you want to freeze their accounts the court will have to issue an order to the bank. For this talk to a lawyer. But first, lodge an FIR with all the details.
