Such complaints are many against interior designers. It seems you have not entered into any written agreement. Get issue a legal notice and threaten to approach Consumer Court.

As per the facts mentioned, you can send a legal notice to them for getting it exchanged or refunded. Even then they don’t respond back to you then can file a consumer case in the relevant District Consumer Forum/Commission to get the relief.

You can issue them legal notice and if they don't comply or reply to the same in 15 days you can file a civil case for recovery of money or a summary suit if there is any written contract to that effect against the other side in the Court of your concerned jurisdictional area where you reside.
