As per your inputs your friend need divorce from his insane wife, insanity is a ground for divorce, your friend can file a petition for nullity of marriage in the court, file the petition and issue the court summons to your friend's wife then the court will issue exparte decree if your friend's wife do not attend to court

A. Suicide is definitely not an answer for your problem. Take wise decisions and move ahead. Try for amicable solution through common friends and/or relatives and you can simultaneouly approach Court too and file restitution of conjugal rights Petition and ask your wife come back legally and compulsorily.

A. As your mother is alive she can take her share in her father's property, But if your mother has relinquished her right by giving her share to her brothers then both of you do not have any right to claim over that property.
