You can also complain to the municipal animal control department. A. Hi,
There are several NGOs that help out with at-risk women, you can look up some of them online. As you are an adult, the police cannot compel you to return to your parents even if they file a missing persons complaint. Such false cases can also be quashed by the High Court under Section 482 CrPC. Your parents can be found guilty for making false cases under Section 209 IPC.

Look into NGOs online that help at-risk youths, they can help you get out of your current living situation. File a complaint against your parents for assault, battery, blackmail and criminal intimidation under Sections 350, 351, 383, 503 and 506 IPC. A. Hi,
While the wife is alive the husband has no right over her self acquired property or ancestral property. If wife dies without executing a will her husband and children will succeed to her share in the ancestral property. Therefore, if you wish to protect your property from him, make a will in the name of your children with first husband.

A. Hi,
Filing a police complaint is the most effective option, especially when your stepmother has already made such a move. Section 389 IPC makes extortion after filing false cases a punishable offence. You can make an application to the High Court to quash false cases under Section 482 CrPC.
If you are determined not to file a case, you can opt for mediation or arbitration, but this is unlikely to succeed.
