icon Share in father's property

My Father died years ago and mother is alive. We are 5 sisters and one elder brother in family. I as a daughter want to claim share in ancestoral property of my father, but my brother is not agreeing

A. Dear Client
it is very clear that from the year 2005 even the daughters have the right in the ancestral property and hence you have the legal right. Now to execute that legal right what you have to do is to send a legal notice to all the other legal heirs following which if they partition the property as per the partition deed then its all fine else you can file a partition suit in the civil court.

A. Sir, your father has done most of the part by following all the procedures and acting on them for the pre sale, but athe actual sale deed since it is not registered so your father has not made you the legal heir to the flat, wo you have to get it legally done now.

A. Dear Client
Land sale and purchase is a complicated matter and one must seek the advice of a good property lawyer before doing the deal. In your case if the land was an ancestral land then your sale is valid only to the portion which would have come to the son who sold it to you. He could not have sold all the land by himself.

A. No, you cannot claim your right over the property since it's a self earned property and not an ancestral property, this is your grand mother's property now, and she can gift to anyone she desires.

icon School Property issue - land in my name

I've some land in my name in a School,The School committee and others are ganging up to get it from me anyhow. They are organising a meeting to short out the issue.Pls tell me what they can do legally

A. In my humble suggestion, since the land is registered in your name, you are the real owner of the property an have all the rights related to that property. There is no need to worry about the ganging up by the school community. Your land cannot be taken unless you agree to it.
