I have parental property and it is still not divided among my father , uncle and three married sisiter.
Now it is taken care by my elder brother and his wife saying to all of us that whosoever is looking after its belong to him. Neither they are ready to divide or allow us to enter in this property . How the system works in this situation , kindly suggest ?

A.All the children have equal rights in the ancestral property. You can file a suit for partition.

A.Hi,
Ancestral property is distributed equally among all the children, you may file a civil suit for partition of property.
However, more information is required, so that we can advice you properly.

A.Hi,
As per the facts stated by you, if the property is paternal property, then it must be distributed equally among all the children.
However, you may file a suit for partition of property and claim your share.
