A.Hai,
In September 2018, the apex court had declared Section 497 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) – that makes adultery a punishable offence for men – unconstitutional and struck it down. Adultery can be ground for civil issues including dissolution of marriage but it cannot be a criminal offence. Section 306 in The Indian Penal Code
306. Abetment of suicide.—If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine. If you find this helpful, please rate us
