My wife filed "498 A" as on 01 april 2019,
Filed compensation & get maintenance for her & for my daughter who stay with my wife.
But she is not ready for mutual divorce.
Should I file divorce or wait till she should filed which may not happen last 1 year or more.

A.Hi,
Your file can file for divorce on the grounds of Cruelty against you, but if don't have any valid grounds for seeking divorce, you cannot file for it. Your wife and daughter are entitled for maintenance in both the divorces. Thank You

A.Hi,
Only if you have a valid ground like Cruelty, Adultery, desertion, and Conversion, etc against your wife, you can file for a contested divorce. A reason is mandatory for filing a divorce against the spouse if it is not mutual. In any of the divorces, you will anyway have to pay the maintenance to your wife and your daughter.
Thank You
