Can married daughters claim agricultural land after father has willed it to son?
My father passed away last year. He made a registered will in 2011 writing all the agricultural land in the name of my brother. Now my brother says that since papa has willed all the land to him ,he won't give it to me. I am married and stay in another city. Can I still claim my share?
A.Dear Madam,
You must claim a share only if you can prove that the Will executed by your father was by using fraud by your brother if it is genuine Will then you cannot get any share since it was self acquired property of your father.

A.Hi,
If it is ancestral land, then you have a right to claim your share in that property. However, if the property is self-acquired of your father and he has made a will regarding it in the name of our brother, then you can not claim it.
Thank you.
