I have a property in my name which I have purchased and am repaying the loan. Can my wife stake claim to the property during or after divorce

If you’re earning more than your wife then she has the tight to claim for maintenance and a share in your property as well.

A.Dear Client
If you have bought the property in your name then she will not have any rights in the property but she will have rights for the children born out of this wedding. I hope you have not take the loan in joint name.

A.During the divorce she can try to claim maintenance or alimony out of that asset of yours but if she relinquishes her rights to maintenance or alimony based on which divorce order is passed by the Court then after the divorce she cannot claim any rights to the same. Thank you.
