Flat Transfer - My maternal grandmother intends to gift me Flat Transfer - My maternal grandmother intends to gift me

Hi. My maternal grandmother intends to gift me a flat in Mumbai. My mother is the only alive legal heir of my grandmother. I have 3 queries:

1. In case I get the flat transferred now via gift deed - would i have to pay any stamp duty charges?

2. She has already written a handwritten will indicating her intention to transfer the flat on my name. The current nominee is my mother. Would there be any issue for society to transfer the place to my name or it would be transferred to my mother only?

3. Would transfer of ownership to either me or my mother need any stamp duty to be paid for transfer of ownership?

A.Dear Client,
As a case under gift deed you have to pay stamp duty otherwise it is invalid. If the property is transferred under your name then you will be the owner.
