A.Dear Client,
The jurisdiction for a divorce case in India is determined by several factors, including where you and your husband last resided together, where the marriage took place, where you currently reside, and where your husband has filed the case. You can submit your response, also known as a written statement, in the Family Court where your husband filed the case. You can send your reply by speed post or any other reliable means that provides proof of delivery. It's important to ensure that the court receives your reply within the specified time frame. Keep copies of all documents related to your case for your records.

A.Dear Client,
The family Court would have exclusive jurisdiction to deal with the divorce petition if a marriage is solemnized at a place within the municipal limit and the party resides there only, The case cannot be transferred to the district court on the ground that the husband resides outside the limits of the municipal corporation. Any application or petition to be filed before the Court shall be made by the petitioner himself or herself physically appearing before the Court or through his/her authorized representative/Advocate in favour of whom Vakalatnama is executed by the petitioner.
