Divorce - married life goals Divorce - married life goals

Hi Sir, I married in June 2019. I was clear about the married life goals and allready told my wife that she have to complete her studies and get a good job so she can be independent. I told all the expectations to our relative who brought this marriage proposal and they said she is ready. While getting married she agreed to everything and said yes to complete education. However, after marriage I was telling her to complete graduation and learn the additional language for which I paid fees. After 1.5 years she said I'm not interested in studying and making career and this was allready decided in her family before marriage. When I asked her family about it they are denying everything and saying forget and go along with her. Additionally they said she is slow in mind and can't understand things in one time. Now I want to divorce her but they are not ready for it and threatening that they will put police case on me.

A.Dear Client,
According to Hindu law, divorce is a legal process that can be initiated by either spouse. If you want to divorce your wife, you can file a petition for divorce in the family court. Further, you can file a complaint with the police if you feel threatened or harassed by your wife's family.
