Is law in india biased towards women
Can wife's in india simply file false cases like dvc, 498a, crpc 125 etc to harass husband and stay out of court proceedings with out attending court?
Do judges allow such behaviour?
I have heard that wife need not attend courts but husband has to. Is that really the state of indian judiciary?

A.Hi,
No, they will have to attend Court unless the can provide valid reason for their absence.
False claims and cases can be punished under S.209 of the Indian Penal Code. Judges will reprimand those who abuse Court process and can even punish them.
Both parties will have to attend Court, but orders and decrees can be obtained ex-parte (in one party's absence).

A.Hi,
Due to a long history of patriarchy and oppressive practices towards women, steps have been taken to award more protection to them. This makes it easier for some of them to abuse Court process and file frivolous cases.
Ideally, both parties have to attend Court, unless they can justify their absence.
