Wife seeking alimony and maintenance

I had left my wife after 4 years marriage. Marriage was not happy, no children are there.
Wife is earning 1.5L less than me.
Wife has proof of dowry, medical record which she is saying due to abuse, my chats with other girlfriends, one affidavit of one girl I met through shaadi.com during married. Affidavit say that I had sexually exploiting her.
Wife is asking for maintenance and alimony. What I should do?
I have never beat my wife, still she has ask for this.

Please let us know if you are just separated or if you have divorced your wife. Because she cannot ask you for alimony unless she is divorced.

A.First of all since your wife is already working therefore she is not liable to get any maintenance from you hence you need to file a non maintainability petition for the same with a help of a good criminal lawyer then the said case may be dismissed by the learned court on that ground only. Moreover, she may ask for alimony only when she gives you divorce by proving that the divorce has been granted based on the allegations done by you against her. If she proves that you have done cruelty to her and also you have extra marital affair for which she has been granted the decree of divorce then you shall be liable to pay the alimony to her otherwise you are not liable to pay her any alimony if you can prove that you are not guilty.

The question of evidence will be come into picture only during trial of criminal case. You can engage a reputed advocate who is practicing on criminal side. Since your wife is getting 1.5 Lakh salary you must argue that it is enough for her to lead a decent life.

A married woman does not get right to ask for maintenance and alimony because the husband has tortured her. She has and gets the legal right to maintenance basis the fact she is married to the man.
If she files a case for maintenance or alimony then you can very well defend the case in trial.
