Property Issue in between brothers

Sir, we are joint family ( we are two siblings)but my elder brother he is working in government sector and I am working as an Auto mechanic.
I have 60×40 size one site and Now I'm building a home on that site
but my elder brother is asking share in that site
But I buy that site by my own earning without any help and also that site is alredy registred on my name.
but my elder brother threating to me that
if i refused to give share in that he will go to court .
but my question is that even though i buy a site on my own earning,
is it compulsory rule to give a share to my elder brother because we are just joint family.
( my elder brother not given a single rupees to me to buy site )

If he threatening to u.. then give police complaint that he is harrassing you to give share..
Let him go any court.. No use.
since because your elder brother not contributed any amount towards perchase of sites even he goes to court he many not get any relief .
