India is yet to have a proper Privacy Law enacted and as per the news the discussions are on in the Parliament. In absence of such law you do not have much to do to ask or request those institution and it is upto them to delete or not on your request. Also as per the current KYC norms there institutions are required to have the details in their database so they can't delete as of now.
