Dear sir, My wife is working as a PG Teacher at government aided school in tamilnadu.Now she is 8th month pregnant so she want maternity leave but the school management asking her to give money


A. Dear Sir,

You can file the complaint against the school authorities. As per law, it is the right of every women who is pregnant can seek maternity leave without any deductions in the salary. No one in the organisation is allowed to deduct the salary.

The maternity benefit is offered only to females. A member is qualified to avail of this benefit if: She has paid at least three monthly contributions within the 12-month period immediately preceding the semester of her childbirth or miscarriage.
